Hello and welcome to my pages. My name is Yvonne Werner and I am an authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant and qualified general and funeral celebrant.

My Training

In 2002 I completed my Diploma of Marriage Celebrancy with the  International College of Celebrancy. This was followed in 2005 by the Diploma of Funeral Celebrancy, Certificate IV in Marriage Celebrancy in 2008 and the most recent Certificate IV in Celebrancy in 2010.

I am also qualified to facilitate ‘The Journey’ a rites of passage program for adolescents, and have conducted a number of alternative ceremonies such as divorce and rituals for new house-cleansing.

I greatly enjoy my profession, and have had the honour of teaching the new Certificate IV in Celebrancy for the International College of Celebrancy, and the Funeral units for Victoria University. As a former owner/director of Life Skills Training Pty Ltd, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 22417) I also provided training under the Ongoing Professional Development (OPD) obligation for Civil Celebrants throughout Australia. 

My Ceremony History

I conducted my first marriage ceremony in 2002, after completing my Diploma of Marriage Celebrancy. I have since conducted considerably more than 100 marriage ceremonies, ranging in style from beach casual, to country property paddock, to backyard, to formal indoors with elegance. I have also conducted Commitment ceremonies, Re-affirmation of Vows and many funeral and memorial services, working directly with families and Funeral Directors.

A ceremony I greatly enjoy preparing and delivering is the Naming ceremony, my last one by invitation in Dorset, UK. I particularly enjoy working with families and showing them how they can participate in this most wonderful ceremony.
